Winkleigh Church
It's full-on wedding season here, which means my priority is always getting couples their images back as quickly as possible. That leaves little time for blogging or social posts, but it's a good problem to have — I’d rather be editing a beautiful day than scrolling for content. Alongside current edits I'm also putting together a couple of albums for previous couples, lots of wedding meetings at the moment for up and coming weddings, which is honestly all kinds of lovely work.
Currently I'm editing a wedding that took place at this beautiful village church. It was an exceptionally hot day outside, and I remember how calm and cool it felt once we were inside — a real contrast to the heat. The church itself was stunning, bathed in soft, filtered light that made the ceremony feel intimate and timeless.
Pete and Jen had an amazing day: a heartfelt, fun, ceremony at the church followed by a relaxed reception in the local village hall. I loved walking back through this True Mid Devon village at night to my car where I left at the other side of the village. There was singing coming from the pubs one of which had a tractor parked outside. I had to walk through the church yard in pitch black to my car but instead of feeling eery it just felt calm and
