Yee ha!
Meredith and Rykkers’ wedding in Fairy Cross, North Devon was a truly memorable celebration full of laid-back charm and heartfelt moments. Held in the garden of the family home, the ceremony took place under a majestic oak tree, lending a natural and intimate backdrop to their vows. Adding a personal touch, the ceremony was officiated by Rykkers’ brother, which created a warm and close-knit atmosphere that perfectly suited the relaxed mood of the day.
One of the highlights was a unique wine drinking ritual incorporated into the ceremony, symbolising the couple’s unity and shared journey ahead. This subtle yet meaningful addition set the tone for a day that felt more like an inviting party than a traditional wedding, exactly as Meredith and Rykkers had envisioned.
The cowboy theme ran through the festivities with a fun twist: professional line dancing classes took place in the marquee during the afternoon. Guests of all ages enjoyed learning the steps, contributing to the day’s friendly, vibrant vibe. It was a perfect way to encourage mingling and laughter, bringing everyone together in celebration.
Devon Hog Roast provided the feast, as expected delivering a sumptuous selection that had everyone feeling fully satisfied. The food was a perfect match for the informal, outdoor setting, emphasising fresh, hearty flavours that complimented the event’s easy-going style.
The weather was kind, offering a warm, light atmosphere that allowed for some beautiful photography, capturing the joy and natural beauty of the day.
